This is good for coffee snobs who want something a little better than a french press and are willing to put some time and effort into their morning java. Its a lot more time-consuming (down-side - you have to pour the water slowly into the filter in a circular motion) but quality of brew is better (less grainy than french press and definitely stronger bolder taste). If these issues don't bother you then don't bother with the Hario b/c you will get annoyed with teh time it takes.

Btw, this server is used on conjunction with the dripper, cone filters and kettle.

i got this along with the hario ceramic dripper and kettle. altogether adorable and efficient for a 16 oz pour over to take my morning coffee to work. probably not enough for more than one or two people and if i have company i'll have to drag out the old machine but this makes much better coffee. excellent design.

What can you say about a simple item like this pot? The dimensions are fine, it keeps heat as expected and it cleans well. The handle feels fragile and I would not drop this item even a little. Fortunately, it pours well which is one variable you can only tell by testing. I hope it lasts for years to come
